Some of the paths is the woodland have problems after any rain and would benefit from type 1 aggregate being put down on the most problematic parts. There are many lovely walks in the area and some are overgrown and require cutting back and damaged trees removed.
We are lucky to have the community woodland and it is well used by many people in the local area. In some parts after any rainfall, certain areas become very boggy and slippy. I have contacted the council unsuccessfully in the past to ask if there were plans to upgrade the paths. People are more active than ever and walking is a free, excellent way to maintain not just physical health, but mental health too. It's a beautiful place whatever the season and should be accessible to all.
