An after school computer club for teenagers in the village hall. £2500 to provide laptops, tutor and insurance, CRB checks etc. Average of 10 pupils (fee paying) at one session (initially) sharing laptops working through basic to advanced programming from designing a computer game to creating a new phone app. Finance would be for set up costs etc. Once established the club would be self funding.
Not sure at the moment Oliver but it will be in line with other clubs.
Yes, in theory but that project is a long way off (lack of adult volunteers I think) and may not be quiet enough for any tuition. The advantage of the VHall is that it has wifi.
Could this be combined with the Youth space in the Pavilion?
Computers and technology are the future for our youth. ITC at Chailey Secondary isn't very inspiring/ challenging as the school is limited by a strict curriculum. There are no after school activities in the village for non sporty children, especially girls and this club could be the starting point of any number of activities for our teenagers.

What sort of cost-per-session is being suggested?
