Hi guys, I hope you'll all settle down into your new Direct Democracy platform nicely. Each idea is now considered a 'priority' and you can submit as many as you like. Each priority can be debated for or against, so we should now see some decent direct democracy debating going on. The moderator page has served us well, but I'm glad we've now found something better and more substantial. We still need to add well supported points to the Wiki page, where they can be fleshed out.

I understand your concerns, but going back to the solidity of Google Moderator is not an option. It's nowhere near scalable enough and there isn't enough room for debate. This platform is totally open source. Soon we will have our own self hosted solution (we'll import the database across) and we can make all of the changes you've brought up. The code is open source, it's open to public scrutiny, and when we get self hosted, we can constantly improve its security.

If the text is too small, try pressing CTRL and + to increase text sizes. The wording of all of the boxes can and will be changed - this is not something we can do on Google Moderator. We will soon be in the driving seat of this platform, so don't worry!
Cerrtainly looks the business Philly Please keep the moderator going! I still think it has some potential. Certainly keep it as an archive. There are a lot of useful ideas and links and the beginnings of a community. Hope to meat [sic] up with you and discuss why!

Priorities, points , comments can get a but confusing as to where you are. Is it possible to have some colours around the input boxes to clarify which type of record you are in. Also explanation boxes are too small, on occasions I could not type all the text I wanted.
In principle I am all for direct democracy but what I see is a very complex facebook like interface that anyone over the age of 50 or a technophobe will shy away from like a startled deer. I consider myself computer literate but even this is a struggle.
This is a useful site for now, but any real system used in the long term should be owned by the people, open to public scrutiny, and should have the data, source code, and other "plans" publically available, so that it can be reclaimed and rebuilt if anything should go wrong, by accident or maliciousness.
