As businesses start up again, there has to be an emphasis on decarbonising and green infrastructure. Businesses with green credentials need to given tax breaks and funding needs to be made available for new green start ups.

Eastbourne Borough Council should encourage the formation of a new social enterprise that employs local people, especially young people, to engage in the various conservation projects needed in the borough to protect and enhance local biodiversity, which is in steep decline due to overdevelopment and neglect. Planting new trees and hedges, looking after them, weeding public areas to avoid using pesticides/herbicides, clearing plastic waste from beaches, etc. Let's look after local nature!
