Coop stores should have bottle return points, but not 'traditional' recycling banks where the bottle is smashed and re-made into a bottle. There should be agreements with companies who use standard bottles (e.g. wine, do we need different shaped wine bottles?) to clean and re-use these.
Even if it was just Coop reusing its wine bottles, this would make a massive impact. And if they offered a deposit, customers are encouraged to return to the store, give back their bottles and then buy something else.
