To start with the first camping experience for young Scouts on the Isle of Bute and build a foundation for more scouting adventure on Bute in the future. We need tents, camping equipment and to make our scout hut function for all ages 6 up to 18 years. This will allow young people to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. 😊
Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world. Scouts change lives by offering 6 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities😃

Scouting is a great way to develop children and young adults in a safe, fun and inspiring way. The scout hut is there, but due to the lack of use and maintanence from the original scout group disbanding some years ago is in desperate need of repair. With this and some scouting essentials, the group can continue once more to offer the service to the children and young adults of Bute. I was a cub and scout which gave me experiences that I wouldn’t have got from anywhere else.
