Local Councils should be empowered through subsidiarity, decentralisation and increased autonomy. As things stand there is too much power within central government authorities. Local enforcement is a case in point. Local Councils have very little say, and there is too much interference by Ministers. Let local councils have more say in matters directly effecting local communities.
