In my opinion fuel prices should go down due to the fact that oil prices have gone down.
I'd tend to disagree. Instead, i propose having the extra profits directed towards turning open car parks ( ta qali, University, Mater Dei etc) turned into solar farms. Thus, should fuel prices increase we'd be able to cushion its effect.
While it may seem as a great idea to many (since it benefits them directly), it may not be beneficial to society as a whole. If Fuel prices were to decrease drastically, it is only logical to conclude that it will lead to increased car use, traffic, emissions, and health problems, while compounding the country's parking woes. I believe the long term indirect costs of such a measure far outweigh its immediate benefits.
